Black varnish

Preparing the surface :

• Make sure the surface is clean, dry, smooth and free of dust, grease or old, flaking paint.
• If necessary, lightly sand the surface with abrasive paper for better adhesion of the varnish.
• Degrease metal surfaces before application.

Preparing the product :

• Stir the black varnish well before use to homogenise the shade.
• If necessary, thin slightly with a suitable solvent as recommended (e.g. white spirit) to facilitate application.

Application :

• Use a brush, roller or spray gun to apply a thin, even coat.
• Work in a well-ventilated, dust-free environment.
• Always apply in the direction of the wood grain or in even coats on metal surfaces.

Drying time :

• Let dry for approximately 4 to 6 hours between coats (time may vary depending on ambient conditions).
• Apply a second coat for best results and protection.

Finishing and care :

• Once the last coat has dried (24 hours), avoid intensive contact for the first few days to allow complete hardening.
• Clean tools immediately after use with a suitable solvent.

Precautions :

• Use in a ventilated area or wear a mask in case of poor ventilation.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In the event of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
• Keep out of reach of children and away from sources of heat or flame.

Tip : For optimum results, finish with a thin coat of clear varnish if you want a shiny effect or extra durability.
