Sodium silicate

Precautions before use :

• Wear gloves, goggles and suitable clothing.
• Work in a well-ventilated area.
• Consult the label for safety instructions and handle the product with care.

Main uses :

Consolidation of porous surfaces (stone, concrete, masonry) :
• Dilute 1 part sodium silicate in 4 to 10 parts water, depending on the porosity of the material.
• Apply the solution by brush, roller or spray to a clean, dry surface.
• Let penetrate and dry (time will vary depending on the surface).
• Apply a second coat if necessary.

Cleaning and degreasing :
• Dilute the sodium silicate (1 part to 10 parts water).
• Apply to the surface to be cleaned using a brush or cloth.
• Leave for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Additive for glues or paints :
• Follow the specific dosages recommended by the manufacturer or professional recipes.

Protection and waterproofing :
• Dilute 10-20% in water and apply to clean, dry surfaces.
• Repeat application for best results, allowing to dry between coats.

Care of equipment :
• Rinse tools immediately with clean water after use to avoid hardened deposits.

Storage :

• Store the product in a cool, dry place, away from frost and heat.
• Close the container tightly after use.

Warning : Do not use on non-compatible surfaces (such as glass, aluminium or certain paints). Always test the product on a small area before applying widely.
