Preparation :
• Make sure the surface to be treated (inside stoves, fireplaces, barbecues, firebacks, andirons) is clean and dry.
• Wear protective gloves to avoid staining.
Application :
• Using a dry cloth or brush, apply a thin layer of cream to the cast iron or steel surface.
• Be sure to spread the product evenly for a seamless finish.
Buffing :
• Before the cream dries completely, polish the surface with a soft cloth to bring out the natural patina.
Drying and heating :
• Let dry for approximately 2 hours.
• Then gradually heat up the appliance.
• When first heated, a slight release of smoke and odour may occur; make sure the room is well ventilated.
Additional tips :
• We recommend applying the cream polish at the end of the season to protect your equipment during periods of non-use.
• To apply to the outside of a cast-iron or steel stove, apply a very thin coat, polish carefully and heat up gradually.
Precautions for use :
• Solvent-free product, however, avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store in a cool, dry place.
By following these instructions, you’ll effectively preserve and embellish your cast iron and steel equipment.
