Sealing gasket

Removing the old gasket :

• Make sure that the appliance is switched off and has cooled down completely.
• Carefully remove the old gasket by peeling it away from the groove or surface to which it is attached.
• Carefully clean the surface, removing glue residue and debris with a wire brush or scraper.

Preparing the surface :

• Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of dust, grease or any other contaminants.

Applying the adhesive :

• Shake the tube of adhesive supplied before use.
• Apply a continuous bead of adhesive in the groove or on the surface where the joint will be installed.

Installing the new joint :

• Cut the gasket to the required length, allowing for a slight compression to ensure an optimum seal.
• Place the gasket in the groove or on the glued surface, pressing firmly to ensure a good bond.
• Make sure that the ends of the joint come together correctly to form a complete seal.

Drying :

• Let the adhesive dry for at least 2 hours before returning the appliance to service.
• For optimum drying, we recommend waiting 12 hours.

Putting into service :

• After the recommended drying time, switch the appliance on, gradually increasing the temperature to allow the sealant to adapt to the operating conditions.

Safety precautions :

• Wear protective gloves when handling the joint and adhesive to avoid skin contact.
• In the event of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice if necessary.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
