De-icing salt

Preparation and precautions :

• Use in cold weather, before or after snowfall or icy conditions.
• Store salt in a dry place, away from moisture to prevent caking.
• Wear gloves when handling to avoid skin irritation.

Application on snow or ice :

Preventive :
• Sprinkle a thin layer of salt (around 20-30 g/m²) before a snowfall to limit accumulation and make snow removal easier.

Curative :
• Spread about 30 to 50 g/m² evenly over snowy or icy areas. Leave for a few minutes, then remove the slush with a shovel or broom.

Areas of use :

• Pavements, driveways, car parks, outside stairs.
• Roads, private roads, driveways.
• Public areas requiring safe access.

Recommendations for use :

• For optimum effectiveness, apply before black ice forms.
• Do not use in excess to limit environmental impact.
• If using on sensitive ground or vegetation, rinse with clean water after the frost period.
